Join us for our first-ever Seed the Need to Read event! This fun-filled day is packed with activities, from our take-home goodies to our first-ever storywalk. It’s also the unveiling of our brand-new seed library!

This event is great for younger children, but there’s plenty for adults, too! Grab a soil kit or a few gardening publications and take a look at our demonstration gardens: Front Entry, Bird Paradise, Vegetable, and Pollinator.

Storywalk- 

Interact with our demonstration gardens by moving through our storywalk. Tiptoe through the tulips, slither like a snake, and more while you travel from page to page. The storywalk will stay in place for a few weeks.

Seed Library Unveiling- 

Join us as we unveil our brand-new seed library. sign out the seeds you want now. return your extra seeds the following season. free and open to the public year-round.

Activity Stations- 

Let the kids have fun with seed packet matching, hopscotch, and magnification investigation activities. kids get to take home their own seed mosaic, a flower sun catcher, and a seed they’ve planted themselves. Plus, gardening handouts for adults!
