While there is much uncertainty at this time, farmers are still in business and operational. Now, more than ever, it is important to support our local businesses and buy from Harnett County farmers. Check out the list below for farms, roadside stands, and more that are still in business. Together, we are #HarnettAgStrong

Don’t see your business here? Shoot an email to Selena McKoy at sdmckoy@ncsu.edu.

Bees and Bee Services

Check out the local beekeepers below who offer a range of products, from honey to wax to hives!

If you are interested in becoming a beekeeper, the Harnett County Beekeepers Association meets every first Thursday of the month, from 7–9 p.m. at the Harnett County Agricultural Center (126 Alexander Drive, Lillington, NC 27546). Meetings feature guest speakers from around the county and the state of North Carolina as they share the latest in beekeeping news, industry updates, and hive health. Meetings also include refreshments and door prizes–so be sure to stop by! The Harnett County Beekeepers Association also offers a Beginner’s Beekeeping Course every February. Participants will learn the ins and outs of keeping bees, getting set up for bees, and what to look for in an active, healthy hive. If you are interested in either the Association or the Beginner’s Beekeeping Course, reach out to Selena McKoy at sdmckoy@ncsu.edu or check out the Harnett County Beekeepers Association Facebook page.
