Join us for our second annual Seed the Need to Read event! This fun-filled day is packed with activities, from our take-home goodies to a new storywalk to food trucks.

This event is great for younger children, but there’s plenty for adults, too! Grab a soil kit or a few gardening publications and take a look at our demonstration gardens: Front Entry, Bird Paradise, Vegetable, and Pollinator. There will also be presentations on each garden throughout the event.

Storywalk- 

Interact with our demonstration gardens by moving through our storywalk. Tiptoe through the tulips, slither like a snake, and more while you travel from page to page.

Seed Library- 

Join us as we share seeds from our seed library. sign out the seeds you want now. return your extra seeds the following season. free and open to the public year-round.

Activity Stations- 

Let the kids have fun with seed packet matching, hopscotch, and magnification investigation activities. kids get to take home their own pinecone bird feeder, play fun games, and a goodie bag to hold it all. Plus, gardening handouts and presentations for adults!
