Hiking outdoors has plenty of perks: nice views, fresh air, and the sounds and smells of nature. Come join NCCE Staff and local experts to learn about the woodland plants around us and how to identify what you find. This tour will focus on species identification through the characteristics of leaf, twig, cone, or "fruit".
We'll talk about the habitat in which these trees, shrubs or vines are found, and whether the species is native or introduced to the area. There will be information on whether the non-native species are considered invasive or potentially invasive.

Group will meet at park Education Center for brief overview at 9:30 am then depart together for hike.
