In line with the Harnett County Government and NC State University recommendations, we are canceling or postponing any non-essential activity. Harnett County Government offices are operational but closed to the public; please call or email for any work that needs to be done. Soil samples are still being collected at the front door and will be held until after April 1.

We also remind you of a few simple steps you can take to prevent illness:

  • washing hands frequently with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds
  • avoid touching your face with unwashed hands
  • avoid close contact with people who are ill
  • cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when sneezing or coughing; if you do not have a tissue, cough into your upper arm or elbow
  • do not reuse tissue after sneezing, coughing, or blowing your nose
  • clean and disinfect surfaces that are frequently touched
