Howell Brown is an 11 year old who has grown up on a farm and has a great love of animals. He has been fighting a health battle very bravely and when the “Make a Wish Foundation” asked him what wish he would like to have granted, he quickly told them that he wanted to show an animal at the NC State Fair!

The “Make a Wish Foundation” turned to Lynda Loveland at WRAL to help find a family and program that could help make Howell’s wish come true. Lynda turned to Harnett County 4-H Livestock Club member, Mason Blinson and her father Bryan who worked with Howell to prepare him for two shows at the NC State Fair. You can watch Lynda Loveland’s interview with Howell & Mason on WRAL.

Below are two pictures of Howell at the NC State Fair where his wish did come true. Howell is now a member of our Harnett County 4-H Livestock Club and plans to attend meetings whenever he can. Congratulations Howell and thank you Mason, Bryan, and Beth Blinson for helping make his wish come true!
