	4-H Centennial Celebration at the First Harnett Regional Agricultural Fair November 7th, 2009 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Lillington, NC
	Please join us as we celebrate 100 years of North Carolina 4-H! Few organizations or companies ever reach their centennial year, but as we celebrate our 100th birthday, North Carolina 4-H is stronger than ever providing positive life skill development opportunities for more than 208,000 youth. From humble beginnings in northeastern North Carolina as corn growing clubs, North Carolina 4-H has grown into the largest youth development program in the state. Today's 4-H is a mirror image demographically of the youth living in North Carolina between the ages of 5 and 19. 4-H is a community of young people across North Carolina and throughout America who are learning leadership, citizenship and life skills. 4-H is about having fun, learning, exploring and discovering. In 4-H, young people make new friends, develop new skills, become leaders and help shape their communities. As we celebrate the North Carolina 4-H Centennial, we are excited about the opportunity to reflect on our past achievements, to celebrate our current success and to envision the endless opportunities that 4-H has to offer all youth!
