The North Carolina Cooperative Extension Center in Harnett County observes standard County hours of operation and holidays. We are open for business from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Of course, we frequently have evening meetings and weekend workshops to meet the demands of the public. If you need to meet with us at a time different from standard hours, give us a call. We will be happy to accommodate your schedule.

Juanita Hudson of Harnett County, recently received the two highest honors bestowed by 4-H. She was inducted into the inaugural class of the NC 4-H Hall of Fame and also received the 4-H State Alumni Award. Mrs. Hudson was honored at a luncheon that was a part of the 4-H Centennial Celebration at the Jane S. McKimmon Center on the campus of N.C. State University.

National 4-H Congress

National 4-H Congress is the flagship event of the 4-H program. For seventy-nine years, youth from the United States and its territories have participated in this youth leadership development conference. The Congress provides youth, ages 14-19, a quality, educational, and cross-cultural experience that exceeds what any state independently provides. North Carolina's delegation to this year's Congress included 17 youth and 3 adults. MORE
